My new 45# version of the Redman came in the mail yesterday from Kustom King so it's finally time to let this one go. I don't think the new version is as pretty, but things are what they are. I guess somebody has to Save the Rainforest (SR). I bought this bow in 2017, sold it a few years later, and bought it back, but now it's finally time to let it go for good. Still has 24-25 years on the original 30-year warranty and is in Very Good condition. When they are back in stock, you can get a new 50# version from Kustom King for $769 plus shipping and taxes, or you can have this one for just $425 TYD, PayPal, USPS Priority Mail insured (U.S. only). And I'm going to admit that, I am only posting this bow for sale because I now have 2 and I'm trying to preserve my shoulders for another 20 years. I absolutely love shooting it. Just in case you want to compare, this is a picture of both the original version (left) and the new SR version (right) of the bow. In the interest of full disclosure, the 50# Redman will come with the brand new Bodnik Whisper string that came with the 45# bow. As this picture shows, I am currently shooting a custom TTT string with matching color scheme silencers on the 50# Redman.

Outfitting 7 archers in our family so I am always in the market for soft leather back quivers that need to be rehomed. Must be in at least "good" condition. Post a picture and/or PM me if you have something you would like to sell. Must be willing to do PayPal. Also have several bow quivers I would be willing to trade, including a brand new Bob Lee quick disconnect version.

62", 49#@28". Takedown. Riser - maybe Bolivian Rosewood? Flame Birch veneers. Elk tips. Very good condition. Smooth and quiet. Just a nice shooter. Took delivery from Steve in January 2020. I have a matching 66", 48# NM Sprague TD that I prefer to shoot. Bought the Whisper to use as an enclosed blind hunting bow, but it hasn't seen much use in that capacity. Hate to let it go, but it's time for it to find a new home. Was $495 tyd, PayPal only, USPS Priority insured (U.S.) Now just $425

This one's a no brainer. You can order yourself a new one for about $1400 and maybe get it before the early deer archery season starts in September OR you can buy this one for not much over half of that and take it hunting during Spring turkey season. Have had the all Micarta 19" handle for about a year or so. Went through a couple different sets of longbow and recurve limbs on it, including some CobraCurves, before I got these carbon longbow limbs fitted to it about a month ago. Have had the handle hunting a couple times but the limbs only have a dozen arrows through them in the garage and 20 targets worth on the 3D range. At the end of the day, I have just decided I prefer my P3 handle with the matching sets of longbow (66", 44#) and recurve (62", 48#) limbs. Deal is $795 TYD, PayPal, USPS Priority Insured (U.S.)

Nice bow for hunting, 3D or indoor target shooting. Not the first owner. Bought it in April 2021 as my backup indoor bow. Length and draw weight proved not quite right for my 27" draw. My second Triple Crown and really like how they feel. Will probably just order a custom one from Ron if I get this one sold. Was $575. Now just $525. TYD PayPal, USPS Priority Mail Insured (U.S. only)

This is another one of my really nice bows that just never gets shot. Erik built it custom for me in April 2021. Bow is all Osage with clear glass and a satin finish. Smooth and quiet. Will make someone a great hunting or 3D bow. Base American Styk is $795. This one was $900 all in new. And with the exception of a couple dozen arrows in the garage and one trip to the 3D range, this bow is still "new". $595 TYD. PayPal only, USPS Priority Insured (U.S. only)

68", 42#@28". Myrtle Veneers, Micarta Riser, extra string. Gregg made it for me in June 2020. Real nice bow that I shoot a couple times one month a year for the indoor Lancaster Classic. That happened yesterday and since it was probably my last year doing it, I simple can't justify keeping the bow on the rack for another year. Would make someone with a sweet 3D bow for the upcoming season. Was $795, now just 695 TYD. PayPal only. USPS Priority Mail insured. U.S. only

Don't have one right now and I'm looking for ideas. Share yours if you have one. Pretty sure mine is not going to involve Africa, the MIddle East, or South America. Have to say the Arctic and Antarctica are probably off the table too. So I'm left with the rest of North America, Europe and Australia/New Zealand. (This is what you think about when you are on hour 7 of Teams/Zoom meetings and it's not even 2:00 yet.)

This is one of the new "in stock" models they are building. Bocote and Forest Green Diamondwood. Bought new in December 2021 and shot a couple dozen arrows out of it in the garage. It's an incredible shooter like all Blacktail bows. This Classic has the 16" riser like the one on the Sitka models. Decided I preferred the 18" riser version and put an order in for an Elite VL model that will get built sometime late in 2022. No sense having this bow just sit on the rack. New bow was $930 all in (bow + shipping). You can have this "like new" one for $725 TYD. PayPal. Shipping USPS Priority Mail (U.S. only).

Finally got my bow rack sorted out and it looks like there's an empty peg. Looking for a 62" Ghost or Breed in the mid-40's. Might consider another 50's recurve if it turns out it's one of the 7-8 models that I shot a few years ago when I first went looking for one. Bow doesn't have to be in excellent shape, just pretty well taken care of. Only do PayPal transactions.

So we took my wife's sisted and her daugher out to the range on Christmas day and they fell in love with the sport. They used a couple of low poundage bows that I had on the rack, but are looking to have their own. Being very new to the game, they are not ready to make a lot of investment into their gear. The current conversation is to either buy 30# limbs for the 62" Samick Sage I have on the rack (to replace the 45# ones it currrently has) or to get Black Hunter 60", 30# one off Amazon instead. The Samick is a heavy mass weight bow which is both good and bad for a new shooter. Don't have any idea what a Black Hunter feels like. Has anyone ever shot one of the Black Hunter recurves?

Have a chance to order a new hunting bow as a Christmas present from my wife. Spent an hour last night looking at risers and limb wood combinations. Have pretty much settled on a Macassar & Myrtle or some similar dark/light combination for the riser. The limb veneers are always more challenging for me. My default is always something light and figured like Myrtle or one of the Maples, but I worry about it being too visible in a hunting blind. Curious how others have balanced the looks vs functionality question on hunting bow limb veneers? What is your wood preference? Pictures would also be nice.

Javaman Impala Supreme, RH, 68", 42#@28", Micarta Riser and Myrtle Veneers, with an extra string. Excellent condition. Bow was $1,025 new. $750 tyd. PayPal only. Ship USPS Priority Mail Insured. Can discuss UPS shipping for a small additional fee. Had Gregg Coffey make me this bow back in June 2020. Was looking for something to shoot in Indoor target competitions, but just haven't done much of that this year and am not likely to do more in the future. Can't justify having it on the rack anymore. Besides, the new Falcon Gregg just made for me arrives in the mail today and I need a place for it on the rack.

Okay, so just another weird thing that make me a bit crazy at times. For whatever reason, I have settled into 175gr broadheads (Grizzly Bruin 2-blade, VPA 3-blade) for my wood hunting arrows. The archery industry does not seem to believe that any right thinking traditional hunter would ever want to practice with field points that match his/her hunting arrows. So I have 45-50# and 50-55# "hunting" arrows made up for 3D practice with 160gr and 190gr field points. As you would expect, the different field point weights produce different arrow flight and target impact results at 20 yards. Have tried searching for 175gr field points at all of my usual sources (3R, Lancaster, KK, TFS, etc) without success. Does anyone have a recommendation for an "unusual" source that carries 175gr field points?

Okay, so I got the call yesterday that my name had finally come up on the build list for a short R/D longbow. I have 24 hours to declare my intentions. It will be a bow I will probably only hunt with inside tight blinds. I am now struggling with a final length decision. Should I go with 60" or 62" at my 26 1/2 - 27" draw length? Or at this length, does it really even make a difference. In some circles, hunting with 52-54" R/D bows seems to be all the rage these days. Can't imagine shooting something that short. My ideal ASL length is 66". Have several 62" recurves that I probably don't get full benefit from the limbs and a 60" recurve that I am very fond of, even if I did miss an animal with it last weekend. Taking another 60" R/D bow I have out to the range today to see if I can close the deal in my head. Am also going to be shooting my son's 58" Bear Grizzly just for grins and an additonal data point. For the record, I have gone through several 58" high-end recurves and never been happy with how I shoot them. My new R/D bow will have a G10 riser so I am thinking the extra weight will compensate for the shorter length if I go with a 60" bow. Shoot split if that makes a difference. Just looking for some perspectives from the group. When it comes to already short longbows, how much does 2" actually matter?

So have had this morning's hunt on my work calendar for the past 2 weeks. Was one of those rare days when I don't have conference calls starting at 7:30 and with the Daylight Savings time change, I was going to be able to get a good 3 hours in the blind before I had to get back to pouring over PowerPoint slides and spreadsheets. Woke up at 5:00 to the sound of rain that started as a sprnkle, but quickly became pretty much a downpour. Since I am now sitting at my computer drinking coffee instead of staring with anticipation through a blind window, I got to wondering if braver souls than me might be out in the field right now. So the question is, do you hunt in the rain and if so, how do you do it successfully?

Looking to trade some Iron Wills for German Kinetics or GizzlyStick Silver Flames. Mix of types & weights. A few have been shot a couple times for tuning & practice. Truth be told, they hold an edge so well it's hard to tell much difference. Looking for 150-210gr Silver Flame heads. Can probably sell the Iron Wills outright, but would prefer to replace them with Silver Flames. Here's what I have:

Looking for a travel bow for my wife. The ideal bow is probably 62", 40# and has a locator grip that is not too big around. Need it in my hands in 10 days or less for an upcoming hunt. Have a viable Plan B, but thought I'd give it a shot.
