I have some friends that want me to take them bowfishing. I donated a bowfishing trip at the annual Lone Star Bowhunters Assn banquet, and a good friend won. Anyway, they want to go to a nearby Lake that has plecostomus (plecos, for short). Yes, these are the same little sucker fish that you see in aquariums. Someone let some go in a local river/lake, and they have gone crazy. They are very bad for the river ecosystem, and really mess things up for the native fish. Anyway, I went there last night to see how the conditions were, and to see if I could find the fish. The water was horrible. Dirty as heck. I only shot 4 plecos and one tilapia in several hours. We decided to postpone our trip till the water clears up.

But man, these are some strange, prehistoric looking fish!!!!

They all seem to have different patterns, kinda like fingerprints, and their skin is as rough as 80 grit sandpaper!!

And here is the one good eating fish I got, a nice sized tilapia.

So,... I guess you're trying to convince us that you're some type of humanitarian by donating your sleeping hours to helping out the ecosystem?

Strange fish indeed....

Actually, it is more like I am just a guy who likes to stick critters with an arrow, and I don't discriminate too much! [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin]
