Came across this post and thought I would take a shot of some Hugh Rich arrows. If you want to see more you need to go to the NFAA museum in Yankton, SD.

Yes, the bottom arrow is from Hugh Rich. He made arrows, bows, spears, shields, etc. for the movies. P1000855.JPG

No, actually you have a movie arrow head. I believe these are sold on eBay by Joe St. Charles. The upper one was used by the extras who were some distance from the camera. The lower one was used for closeups, hence more detail and the metal broadhead. The plain wood shaft was modified to look like a reed that might have been used by Native Americans. P1000862.JPG

From the 1940s to his death in 1990, Hugh Rich knew just about every significant archer.  Not only was he a dealer in quality archery supplies, but he was a wonderful shooter.  I knew him quite well and would like to share a pic of four of his personal arrows that he gave me back in the 1980s.

Deno, I meant to separate arrow and head to emphasize the fact that you had the head of the arrow.

That aside, I have a few of what I call the long distance arrows. In your opinion, do you think anyone would be interested in owning one of those? I'd have to determine a price and input on that would be helpful. I figure they've been sitting around long enough and I don't need to hog them all.

Thanks.
