Darren, can you explain why the youth and cub scores are so much higher? Just trying to figure out what format they shot?

Congrats to all the winners?

Bisch, Both the cubs and youth shoot at closer distances than the adults. Sometimes we see cubs and youth that are bigger than average for their age. At the last Bowhunter World Championship there was a 12 year old youth that was already 6’ tall.

Heston Cranmer the cub that shot a 379 at the Great Lakes Regional has also won the TAS Bowhunter World Championship and IBO World Championship. His dad is Matt Cranmer who just made the USA 3-D Team.

Ok, let me ask this a different way. How does anyone shoot a 379 on 20 targets????

They shot 40 targets qualification round only.
So a 379 out of 400.
With the distances being normally very close, the ten ring is not such a small target area.
In addition, the youth/cub staked generally don't have any obstacles in the way.
The adult stakes are often difficult to shoot because of placement of the stakes. Lefties and shorter people have their issues with the "shooting" windows.

For the adults, these are the results of the Sunday 20 target final round.

Thank you! I knew the Sunday final round was only 20 targets, and that is what had me confused. I did not know that the kids do not shoot on Sunday. Makes perfect sense after someone explained it!

Again, congrats to all the winners!!!!!
