Iโ€™m glad dad a few of the guys are getting together for another bear hunt. There is probably room for a few more on the hunt. I know Tim King organized a TAS Hunt a couple months ago for hogs, everyone had a good time. Iโ€™m going to try to plan on a hunt in October of this year, I just need to figure out the dates.

As far as organize shooting events for TAS, we had a StickBo 100 in Fort Lauderdale earlier this year, there is one in Georgia at Big Jimโ€™s this weekend, and there will be another one in Indiana towards the end of the year. In four weeks we have the TAS Trad bowhunter world championship and banquet in Indiana.

I'm thinking of a NW Colorado bunny hunt late in the year or maybe into January.  It calls for some reconnoitering sometime in the fall.  The population has been good the last few years but it can crash.  We would only want to do this hunt if the population is good.

These are the Nuttals species of cottontail and they're tasty!

If there is any amount of snow on the ground, arrows WILL be lost. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lots of great opportunities here.  Keep 'em coming.  Don't forget to check out the separate Utah elk hunt and the South Georgia public land hunt posts too.

For my part, I'm looking at trying to squeeze in a Pennsylvania pheasant hunt with dogs.  We do it every year with the Pennsylvania Longbow Association and everyone has a great time. Including the pheasants.  I think it is the biggest laugh they get all year. It is on a pheasant "preserve" , so it's a mix of wild and released birds.  Dogs can be part of the deal or you can bring your own.  Would have to check the rules, but might be able to squeeze it on either end of Dan's NJ deer hunt so guys who travel can have 2 different experiences.

And I do want to get to the UP and see some of Chuck's mosquitoes.  Figure I can use the pelt to make a new quiver.  And who would ever pass up a chance at a Pope & Young record proboscis. Maybe I can talk Mike into using his expert woodworking skills to make me a mount....

Hey Bob I think we could switch out your mosquito for this head and make a nice mount for it

Dan,
I believe I will be able to come hunt NJ this fall. Also, one of my brothers, and my next door neighbor are interested in coming along as well.

I know you guys are going to have a great time hunting with Ed in Maine again. I wish I could make that hunt but I can't be out playing all the time.

Andrew

We used to do that up between Craig & Maybell back when I lived out there. On the good years when the numbers are up its a real hoot.
