I have an osage bow with the sapwood on the back. I don't know if it affects the bows performance or not, but it looks cool. A friend, now passed, made it for me so it hangs in my office and reminds me of good times.
The upper limb does have some set, but it’s a decent shooter. Longest (70”) bow I’ve ever owned.
I saw it and shot it. 70 at 28. It does look like new. the weird thing is it is Osage with a very thin sapwood back. Even the decals are perfect.
That bow sure does look new! Amazing find, and it looks like you have shot it from the pictures. How was it?
Questions: Have you strung it to see how it looks for alignment and tiller? How many pounds is it? If it is 50 or more pounds at 26" and it were mine, I would just have to hunt with it.
