Well…. I was born with scoliosis and am a pipefitter by trade. It causes issues at times but what can you do? Well for the ost couple of months my scoliosis has left my right upper half feeling twisted up and painful and the last few weeks Ive had sciatica down my right side as well. Painful…. Yes!!! I’ve tried multiple times to shoot my bows and it was just to much. By the time the work weeks over I’m so spent that church services on Sunday is about it after a week at work. Well…. I’ve been watching a lot of videos of long range archery mixed with archery and the 100 yr war. So today I grabbed and arrow and nocked it and brought my bow up to about 80 degrees plus and pulled it back….. got to my anchor point felt a slip and a pop and a minor relief of the pain as I felt things shift inside me…. Then released the arrow and watched it fly in its beautiful graceful arc!!!! I’d say I was only hurting about half as bad as I have been so went and nocked up another arrow and repeated…. Again I felt a sudden pop and release with no more pain!! I released the arrow and again just dazzled in it s flight as not only had I fixed myself but did it with something I’m passionate about…. my longbow. :)) I’d pondered this and kept running the the physical mechanics of the draw and it worked…… was a real blessing between services today and said a big thank you to the Father at church this evening.

Definitely, we try different things and run with what works. i am glad you found something that feels good. Best wishes.
I’m right handed but have tried shooting lefty and it was painful as well. Hopefully this will keep me shooting for awhile. Thanks it was a real blessing :)
Amen CM! It's a real blessing when we're able to overcome a physical limitation and enjoy archery with renewed gratitude. Happy for you!
If your right handed, is it any better drawing left handed? Sounds like you found an exercise that helps. I was looking at some exercises that improve posture, and upper body strength.
