I have another Black Widow PL longbow coming next month. How many is to many? When is it problem? Is there rehab for Widow longbow shooters?

Not for me, but for friend Mike. Gonna do things a little different and make him a 21st century style bow. Since he broke his wrist, he needs a higher grip. I am gonna experiment with wider flat limbs, not so deep, and clear glass with show lamination that is a bit different. Gonna start next week I think. Watch the bow build folder.

Rather than buy a new Classic, I decided to have Steve Turay take a few pounds off my NM Sprague and it just came back perfect, as expected. Last month Tim King talked my into buying his 62", 48# Java Man Assyrian which I fell in love with after the first 3 shots. Am also on the build list for a Java Man Falcon. Hoping to get a chance to shoot a 62" one that Gregg is bringing out to Farmland in May for the TAS Worlds. Still trying to sell a few bows, but the used market seems relatively slow right now, even given my garage sale pricing....

I would like to get one of Rich’s Old Timer Longbow. But I promised my wife no bows for 5 years but she was smiling when I said it.

Well I went and did it. Sent in my order form for a Wes Wallace Royal TD LB. It wasn’t an easy decision, so many great bowyers to choose from. But i like to try before I buy. Yes, I shot a couple others but my present bow fits me. Another consideration is customer service. He did me a favor by repairing my bow for free even being I am not orginal owner and it was way past his stated warranty. I realize many bowyers will bend over backwards to accommodate so agian a tough decision.

Hey Dan, I asked him to take off about 5lbs and he said no problem. The bow is supposed to arrive to his shop today, so hopefully soon I’ll know for sure what he can do.

Does a weight reduction count? I have a beautiful Toelke Whip TD that unfortunately got a little too heavy for me since injuring my shoulder last year. I just sent it to Dan for a reduction so it should be back in my ”go to” bow stable soon...
