So after fiddling with different rest setups, I kept it simple and went with soft velcro on the shelf. Since I got off work late I'll have to thwack attack the Morell tomorrow to see how it works.

Only thing I do differently is add a piece of flat tooth pick under the Velcro in line with the deepest part of the grip. I prefer having a little of the arrow in contact with the shelf as I can. I have a tendency to torque the string with my ring finger when I get tired. That little bit of height helps keep arrows from bouncing on the shelf. Least ways that how I was told. Seems to work anyway

I have about a ten foot roll of industrial velcro for the shelf. I don't use it on the riser any more because it is too thick.

What I use, buy it by the foot at Tru-Value hardware. The other side I use on shelves under a raised rest. Protects the bare shelf.
