For 2021 Uuhka has some new limb offerings. The new limbs are made up of 50% to 100% carbon fiber.
The new Gobi limb will surely be a sort after limb.
TAS Members Jesus and Tim King were recently on a buffalo hunt, Jesus was using the Uuhka limbs. The draw weight on the limbs were set at 48#+/-. Jesus told me the arrow completely penetrated the buffalo's thick hide.
The Gobi, with 50% carbon and 50% glass, compares favorably to some of the best limbs on the market.
Compared to the previous 2020 Tuulaï limb, the Gobi’s higher carbon content reduces its mass weight.
Higher speed allows the archer to shooter longer distances, even with low poundage. The new S-Curve profile makes the draw easy, smooth and a joy to shoot.
Tom, I'm looking at the 45# limbs as well for a 21' riser. There's a calculator on UUhka's website that will give you the weight on different riser lengths.
That’s the length I am interested in as well. Like I mentioned before if our rec counsel gets this project going about the indoor range I think the setup would do well for a league environment. I know the setup would make a great 3D bow as well. I would get 45# limbs so with my draw and the extra riser length I would still be around 40#-42#, perfect for all day use.
Tom, I'll probably get the medium limbs. That would make a 64" bow with my 21" riser.
Alt services out of the UK has them listed. They are not in stock right now. At $345+ tax that’s not a bad price. Don’t know about shipping, last thing I got from them shipping was included and I got it in 4 days. Wonder how they would fit on a 21” riser?
Tom, I don’t believe they have been shipped to suppliers yet. I email Uuhka and waiting for a response.
Wow, that’s a nice critter. so I went to their website. i found them and I see the limbs are not all that expensive like some they have,
Here’s the buffalo that Jesus killed using the Uuhka limbs and a CD Archery WF19 riser.
Tom, Everything I heard about these limbs have been positive.
“Longer distances with lighter weight” exactly what I am looking for. Not for hunting but for shooting NFAA field rounds. At the state level its 50 yard max for trad. Yes, I know it can be done with less at longer ranges but to old to learn a new shooting style.
