I cropped this from the original to show the unusual fletching shape. Looks like the feathers were cut, rather crudely, with a dull pair of scissors. Is it supposed to be some type of flu flu? Looks like he went pretty heavy on the spiral adjustment, so it was not meant to be a fast arrow.
The arrow point is not shown in the full photo and there's no info with it, so i don't know what he was shooting at.
Looks to me like a simple fix to keep the feather off his nose. 😅
It does seem weird.
Looks like a parabolic cut, a little high on the trail end, perhaps. Light distortion in the pix may make the cut look rougher than it is. The fella does seem to be using the feather as a psyhco-trigger though.
