I hunt everyday of the season, usually 30-50 days depending how many states I travel to. Last year I hunted 6 states 45 days in a row and that’s about my average.

I am not much of a turkey hunter, but usually go a few times a year. Part of my lack of enthusiasm is that I don't really like eating turkey. I do have a ground blind that I commonly use both for deer and turkey. I have seen both from this location. Who knows? Maybe this year I will seriously pursue them.

My son is working on a new spot up around Hewlett. Lots of birds around the Devils Tower hope he comes thru. Otherwise back to National Forest, small chance of private land near house with birds, we shall see. Either way I will be out hiking with my longbow

I don’t have anywhere good to hunt turkeys this year. If any happen to show up on my place, I may give it a go, but I’m not holding my breath!!!

Yes I’m going and I bought some David Smith Decoys and I’m going to set my grandson up with a Tom. It doesn’t start here in Indiana till April 21, can’t wait.
