Ira, I can only imagine what your place looks like. It must be a wonderland of archery paraphernalia 😎

I had one in the 60s, didn't like it with my hunting bows, not so bad with target weight bows. That twist on the middle finger needed some powder or lube during long shooting sessions hot humid days. I went to a Wilson Strap tab, beefed up the strap to get a better grip and stuck with that only target bows for many years.

Found them!
Looks like they were available in at least 3 sizes.

I anchored at the corner of my mouth. Instead of the tip of my middle finger, it was the tip of my thumb.

Unless you use a loop with that you will need to anchor under the chin, as in the pix.

I made a few when I had busted up my ring finger and couldn't pull the string. I made them from PVC and they worked really well. The first one or two were pretty rough, but after that they looked sweet and shot great.
I've given them all away. If anyone is interested in making one, I can attach a drawing and some simple instructions. PVC works well, but I am sure you could make a real beauty from metal, or faux ivory.

It was called the 6 Gold Release. Six gold was in reference in having all six arrows of an end in the gold center of the target.

Little did they know that little release would advance to where it is today with several companies making upgraded versions of it and selling it for well over $200 a piece.
