I do not recall seeing his measurements except for his size 13 feet. Years ago i read an article in one of the magazines were the author went to that cabin in Alaska and found a pair of his old boots. No, never met him although I wanted to.

I never met him either. But I sat at his desk in Gainsville. Bear Archery has kept his office and shop as they were when he used them. I got to do a little exploring. Opened his desk drawers and found a folder with autographed pictures from his various hunts. Got to keep a couple. They are on my office wall. I look at them often.
Aside from Fred's Field Notes, there are 3 or 4 good biographies. Chuck Krol's book A biography of an Outdoorsman as well as I remember Papa Bear by Dick Latimer are a couple that come to mind.
Good reading while we warm up from the morning hunt over another cup of joe and commit to calling a friend to share our story of the day. Fred lived a strong life and shared a lot of it with us. To which I say Salute!

Not sure how tall he was as he was sitting at a table signing books (Field Notes) when I met him in the mid 70's

I would guess about 6'2" since he was taller than me when I saw him in person.

Glad to see you are mulling over the important details and happy to see you stop by the forum!
I cannot give you exact numbers either, but I can confirm that he was tall enough that his feet reached all the way to the the ground 😎

Chuck, I hate to tell you this, but Fred was not 7 feet tall. Actually he was only 6 foot, 12 inches.
