I have a friend who needs to have his bow-arm shoulder totally replaced. He is not tech-savvy, so he asked me to put up this question.
Do any of you have experience with having your shoulder replaced? If so, which type of prosthetic should he get? (He said there are three options and he wants the one that will give him the best option for shooting.)
Do you have a doctor/clinic/group that you recommend?
Any good advice/information is welcomed.
I would recommend he interview Dr's and find one who is an athlete. Most will tell you how to get back to "normal everyday activity", but that assessment never includes strenuous physical or load bearing activity. He needs to find someone who understands what his ultimate goals are.
I wonder how a doctor or clinic could be recommended, when no one knows where he lives.

Maybe talk with a sport medicine physical therapist , And don't seek medical advice from form crack pots.
