Give those pine squirrels a chance, Sailor. My grand kids like to hunt them and they eat what they kill. I've tried some of their squirrel cooking and it's ok 👍. My thing is they are very tough to dress out. It's no wonder some of the tribes chose them for rawhide bowstrings.

I may have to try them Longcruise. Been tempted but haven’t taken a shot yet.

One year I got a cow elk on the 1st day. That left me with 10 days to get into mischief. It took a couple days, but I collected 6 pine squirrels and made a pot of stew for the fellows. It was tasty.
