Can anyone tell me about SAS Bows? My son in law is thinking about buying a SAS Maverick, and a SAS Gravity 60 OP (whatever the OP means) but I don't know anything about them. It's the cost factor that is an issue. Plus he wants to buy one for himself and one for his son. I just hope he can find something by Christmas. Thanks gang.

Kifaru cast podcast episode titled "Cody Greenwood (Tradlab)" covers the best gear at different price points. An excellent episode. They recommend the Samick sage as the best budget bow. Based on testing in a controlled and scientific manner. The next bow is the win and win black elk ILF riser and trad tech black max limbs you can find them on Lancaster archery supply that will be the cost of two SAS bows but it is a solid ilf set up.
I and my brothers have Samick sage takedowns and they're great. I don't know about their other offerings but I imagine they would be fine. You can always sell it on eBay or something if it doesn't work out. I mean the bows are cheaper than a good set of arrows. I can shoot mine right there with my $800 custom bow no problem. plus you never have to worry about babying it. Just get out and use it.
