I have worn progressive lenses for many years and simply can't shoot the bow with glasses on. Luckily, since my cataracts were corrected, I don't really need my glasses to shoot. Close vision still needs a little help. Before that, I still didn't wear glasses but had a few issues.

I went down this rabbit hole years ago now. I finally had a pair of glasses made for distance only that I used for bow shooting. One good thing that came out of this, never had to keep score after a shoot were I mixed up a few cards. But what “fixed” the issue was Cataract surgery, no more glasses. That was in 2003

My son has always been hyper self-critical of his shooting. He got so frustrated looking for the perfect glasses that he got lasik eye surgery. His vision is now 2010 in both eyes. They told him that would settle down, so far it is still 2010. He says that he can see the arrow flexing around the bow like he never could before. The vision change requires a complete re-training of his natural instinctive aim.

I just quit wearing my glasses to shoot. While the target is blurry, I know where the mark is. I shoot better without glasses then with. Which isn't saying much, but at least its more fun. Life is better when its a little fuzzy 😜

I’ve been using Progressive’s for about 5 years. I have no problem with them.

with progressive lenses gotta be looking out center so have to turn head more not just move eyes to shoot

I can shoot with my progressives but do better shooting with a plain distance Rx or bifocals a bigger lense makes the progressives less sensitive

I wore progressive lenses for years and never had a problem with them. In shooting, those that I've seen that have problems with them don't turn their head sufficiently toward the target. That means they're looking out the corner of the lens rather than nearer the center when looking at the target. That will blur any lens, not just progressives.

When progressive lenses first came out, I was excited to learn that I could use progressive lenses rather than bifocals because I was only 40 years old.

I found that everything would become blurry after a few months. I had to return to the optometrist to have my glasses re-adjusted. They only worked when they were correctly positioned precisely on my face.

I was not going to get progressives again when my prescription changed such that I needed new glasses. My optometrist convinced me that vast improvements had been made such that the improved progressives where not so sensitive to their exact position on one’s face. I had the same bad experience with this second set of progressives.

I next went to bifocals. I love bifocals. Bifocals work great. I have had zero problems seeing and shooting with bifocals.

I have the same problem when I use glasses, be it progressive or single prescription. I hit my frames also. Glasses are a pain for hunting anyway! I don't need anything in my left because I had cataract surgery. I use a contact for my right.

Hey Deno. Thanks. I also have a pair of lined bi-focals that I'm shooting with now that work also. Like you I also cant my bow, it's very frustrating. For the price of these progressives you'd think the Dr. could get these to work ( I don't think their too concerned, Lol).

If that one pair is working stick with it . I've tried progressive lenses and was not happy with them. I cant the bow and found the progessives lenses really annoying. I sent my VA prescripion to Oakley and had them make blue polarized sunglasses. They work great for flyfishing and archery. No problems ever since.
