You may recognize the name of the inventor. Joe Caldwell made the dies used to manufacture the Howard Hill broadhead. He also held several patents for compound bows and related items.

The limb attachment on the Oneida Eagle compound bows does bear a resemblance to the Caldwell bow in that they both use a pivot at the attachment point.

A precursor to that "compound" model that is still in existence today. Can't remember the name of it. Same principle, the latter version just has recurved limbs rather than straight limbs. Maybe a cam in there somewhere as well.

does anybody know how it shot? Was the steep angle on the limbs beneficial to the bow's performance?

I would LOVE to see the build and first shot!
