Today, I received a new to me Northern Mist Shelton Takedown Longbow.
First of all, I need to mention, this longbow looks as if it has never been shot, just like new condition.
The longbows specs are 66” long, 55@28”.
I took it out back and put a few arrows through it as soon as I received it. It‘s exactly what a longbow should be, light in the hand and very easy to shoot.
Here’s a few pictures of the bow I took for you guys.

ATag, That takedown system is the cat’s meow. It goes together easy and it feels like a one piece.
Stringfollow, It’s the best stringfollow longbow I’ve shot. It’s a hard decision between the Classic and Shelton.
What poundage are you shooting?
Rick, I have a passport and global entry card however I’m going to have to wait for another 2 years. I tried calling you on the phone tonight. I left you a message.
what do you think about that takedown? The Shelton is a really good bow I’m sure you will enjoy it.
Darren.Doesn’t get much better than that! Love my Shelton. On Steve’s list for another. Probably won’t get for awhile yet. Enjoy.
Congrats, Darren. Hope it serves you well. Got your passport ready? When's the big trip?
Sam, The bow looks and shoots good! I shot the bow last night and some this morning. I’m really liking this bow!
The green glass looks great.
I have a green Shelton very much like yours. Mine is not a takedown, though. The green bows look really nice, don't they? If yours shoots as good as mine, you will be very pleased with it. Steve makes very nice bows.
Nice!
Enjoy!
Wow...another beautiful NM bow Darren. Of course I like the green!!
Deno
Nice, looks like it could be a T/D? They do shoot nice.
Awesome! I love my take down Shelton as well. Hoping to have Steve build another one for me a little heavier.
