I got the call yesterday my new JavaMan Impala Express Longbow (Takedown) is almost done. Gregg Coffey of JavaMan Archery matched the weight of my one piece Impala Express Longbow! The specs of the bow is 66" long, 45@28", Cocobola Dymondwood, Myrtle limb veneers, and it's a takedown.
I'll post a few pics that Gregg sent me later today.
Nice, one of a kind.
Gregg told me today that I had the last longbow with Myrtle limb veneers. I told him that already made my bow a limited edition. 😁
Rick, I understand that completely. Work has always held me back too from going to all the events.
Bob, I haven’t decided yet but I’m thinking that I will keep both Impala’s.
So the obvious question is what is the future of your one-piece Express once the takedown is done - stays in the rotation or going on the market?
This is the riser without the grip. Gregg is adding a beaver tail grip.
Green, Gregg will be a vendor at the TAS World Championship. He’s a regular vendor every year.
This will be neat to follow. That one-piece is a work of art. Nice that there's a "travel sibling" in the works. Can't wait to see Gregg's work on this one. Congrats, Darren.
