I thought this longbow was coming a week ago, and it ended up being a quiver I ordered from HHA. Then on Sunday I received confirmation that the longbow is beIng delivered on Monday. I was beyond excited to receive the new bow. The post lady came without the longbow and I was told it was missent to another post office which delayed delivery for an additional two more days.
Now the good news. The bow arrived without being damaged and Craig did a phenomenal job!
Craig shaped the grip exactly to the measurements I gave him, 2” deep X 1 1/16” wide with narrow sweeps. After John Schulz passed I wanted a tribute longbow built. The riser is AA+ Myrtle wood that I had bought and sent to Craig over 11 years ago. The limbs are 4 layers of Yew wood and brown glass.

I replied to your pm. The sweeps are the top and bottom part of the riser that comes up to the grip.
Nice bow. What do you mean by narrow sweeps? Are you meaning the fade outs as in a shorter riser? That riser does look shorter than my 66” Tembo with a 14 1/2” fade out to fade out.

This is funny, from previous longbow purchases, Craig knew exactly how I like my grip, straight, deep and thin.
I was thinking about this yesterday, I bet Craig has been building these longbows for over 40 years. That's the longest Howard Hill Bowyer to date.
