A friend broujght a grab-box of knives (he had picked up at a sale) to our hunting camp November 3 years ago. It was mostly filled with crap chinese knives. Rustling through it, I did come across something that looked like it was made by sweeds and had a chance of being decent.
It was a little 4 inch bladed knife with a plastic sheeth. I pulled the blade and checked the edge. Crazy sharp. So I stuck it in my possibles bag. I ended up dressing and skinning 5 deer and 2 sheep that season and maybe touched the blade once. It holds an edge well. Since then I have used it countless times.
And it's so cheap! It used to be cheaper. When I checked the price it was $11.00 2 years ago. Now it's nearly $18. Anyway, its the best knife I've had in my possibles bag at any price. Thought I would pass it along:
Agreed. I keep one in every vehicle. My main hunting knife is similar--kind of an upgraded version. It's a Martini Condor? I think. Anyway, it has similar steel but the handle is textured rubber instead of plastic and it comes with a nice leather sheath. The set up is very light and really holds an edge well, and it's only around $25 or so...
