I doubt that taking a bow to school these days is a very good idea, no matter how good the shot is. But, I remember in high school it was common to see deer rifles in the cabs of pickup trucks of those guys going hunting after school. Once, I took in an M-1 carbine as a show and tell item when we were studying WWII. Today that would be serious felony. Nobody took bows, but I know of one guy who built a longbow as a shop class project. That was a long, long time ago.
