I just noticed these faint lines in my A&H riser. I don’t shoot it much, so I’m not sure if they’ve always been there or they are something new. Difficult to see unless the lighting is right—hopefully they show up in the photos. Do you think this is something to be concerned about?

I just heard back from South and he said it wasn’t anything to worry about. You guys were correct, they are just lamination lines. He offered to refinish it in the off season if I wanted to. Great service-especially considering this is a Larry era riser and South didn’t build it.
Thanks guys-I hope you’re right! I just sent an email to A&H for his opinion. I don’t want to shoot it until I get his input.
Exactly what is was going to write. Nothing to worry about.
Just a glue joint between two pieces of fiberglass. Fairly common. I think slight expansion due to temp changes cracks the finish along the glue line. I've never seen or heard about an A&H riser coming apart. I wouldn't worry about it.
