I am lucky my wife has enjoyed archery since we married. There was a layoff when the kids were little but otherwise she likes to shoot. She was hesitant this past year but on Wednesday the range is pretty much deserted. When things normal up then she will join me on Sunday as well. She is a one bow person which makes it difficult to explain why I need more than one. She shoots a 35# bow using 700 spine arrows.

Am lucky that my wife is a big supporter of my archery habit and joins me pretty much every time I go out. Here she is yesterday celebrating a "bounce 10" on a 3D target from about 30 yards away. Never could figure out how she can skip arrows into the targets with such regularity. I may have only hit him in the shoulder, but at least I got my arrow all the way there. Okay, so maybe it was the second arrow I shot, but does she have to rub it in.... 😄

My wife tags a long every now and then. She can be a decent shot. Ken Rohloff made her a sweet little recurve years ago and she loves that bow. If she took it serious and practiced I think she could do really well. I wish she would shoot with me more often. We have a good time.

Unfortunately not. My wife has no interest at all in archery. When we were younger, I tried to get her to shoot with me. Her response was, "If you don't make me go to the archery range, I won't make you go to the mall". Actually, it turned out to be a pretty good arrangement.
