I received a new Howard Hill backquiver in the mail today!
I ordered the soft leather model. The quiver lays flat on my back right out of the box.
For just over a $100.00 it’s the best deal out there on a top quality backquiver.

I usually use 6/7oz leather for my quivers, but have built some from 5/6oz on request. Some like the lighter weight. Takes less break in time as well.

I haven’t seen one of the light models in person but I’m sure it’s great. For the price it has to be one of the best functional back quivers on the market.

We should all get together for a “Backquiver Bowhunt”
longbows, recurves, and backquivers allowed

Sounds like the way to go. Been looking for a new one for my wife. Hers is a hard leather shell one that she is not too fond of. The 2 soft leather back quivers that I have came from TAS member Mike's Archery Leather when he was still making them.

@Tradlongbow Tough call for me. My 27" BOP wood arrows are 22.5" from the end of the field point to the forward edge of the fletching. My carbons come in at an even 22". Broadheads are a non-issue because of the additional point length. This all hypothetically speaking of course. Since the quiver is for my wife's 26" arrows, the 20" one is probably the answer....

If it’s for Brynnen the 20” would fit her the best.

Agreed. @Clovis6 my Arrows are 26.5 BOP my 22” Northern Mist quiver is almost too long, but my 21” Sunset Hill quiver is Just perfect. In reflecting on this I think it’s more about how they hang off the shoulder and how they partition the space than the total length— I think. Having hunted the NM so far this year, I do I prefer the ergonomics and layout of my Sunset Hill quiver more. Not sure if I’m gonna modify it to match or not. Probably will tho

I've got one coming, should be here any day now. I ordered the soft leather also. I had one of the stiffer leather ones a while back, it may have eventually broken down, but sounded like a drum as it was... Good fit and easy arrow withdrawal and return. Sounds weird, but I think I shoot better when I'm wearing a back quiver...

The only thing I had to do was adjust the strap.

Can you describe how thick and/or hefty the soft leather is?

Kyle, The leather is very soft and pliable, and it is surprisingly lighter than the older model I had.
