Greetings all, can a NM Ramer/Whisper or other reverse/forward handle archer advise me on proper brace height? I have a 66" specimen, slight string follow profile. Thanks!

I , too, brace my reverse handle bows higher than standard grips, pretty close to 7 inches vs about 6 1/4 for a standard grip ASL. Interestingly, if I lay one of my strung reverse handled bows over a strung standard handle bow, on their sides, the curvature in the limbs is almost identical, yet the reverse handle is braced 3/4-inch higher.
Because of the reverse handle, the limbs aren't flexed as far at any given brace height/draw length as they are on a standard riser bow because the limbs are positioned on the belly of the bow rather than the back.

Excellent point! I'll superimpose one of my standard ASLs of the same length over the Reverse Handle bow, both braced of course. This will be good data. :^). Thanks

Another thing to look at is "does your arrows shoot the line?" Then you know that you're brace, your spine and your nock point is right. Sure is a great peace of mind.

Ok, so now I'll throw you a curve ball! I braced all my reverse handle and back set ASL's at 6" to 6-1/4" and had excellent arrow flight with wood or aluminum arrows. The bottom line is what works for me, may not work for you. I also used 12 strand B-50 strings on them.

I hear you James. I made two strings thus far...one at 6 1/2, one at 7". I'll experiment and try 6" too. Arrow flight is the ultimate judge. :^)

I have a 66” Whisper and run it at 6.75”. Also have a forward handle JD Berry Morning Star with the same BH. I‘m no expert, but I think the string angle of the forward handle requires more BH than a standard handle, at least on these 2 bows.
