Convair was a defense contractor formed in 1943 by a merger between Consolidated Aircraft and Vultee Aircraft Corporations.. Convair then went on to produce some of the nation's most recognizable aircraft and missiles. With locations in Texas and San Diego, Convair heavily encouraged employees to join in and or participate in scores of company financed clubs and activities.
