Wow, that’s a cool bow. I didn’t know Craig still made that model. I like how the red cedar lams perform on my Dave Johnson. I might have to give Craig a call, lol

Agian a great looking bow. Oh yes, your comments about speed and hitting what your looking at, my exact way of thinking as well!! This has become more of a challenge as my old body has me shooting bows 10# lighter than I have for years. I don’t seem to have the patience level anymore to “relearn” distances. Enjoy that new bow.

Well I finally had a chance to shoot 3d with the panther these last 2 days and I must say I’m impressed. 60 targets and 3 misses overall. I’ll take that with a new bow any day of the week. I have to say I’m really impressed with this bows energy. It really gets out there on the long shots. This bow is also one of my top performers in the chronograph. I know people say speed doesn’t matter with a hill Style longbow but I’ll flat out tell you that’s nonsense. Speed plays a part in accuracy. It’s much easier to hit what you’re looking at with arrows that are flying in a straight line rather than an arrow you have to lob in there. I’m just a greenhorn though so what do I know😆 here are a couple pics from the course. My buddy shot his hh cheetah the first day.

I've always been enamored with big cats. I see them as regal creatures and superb hunters with jaw-dropping speed. What's not to love? Fitting name for this bow.

I’ve owned a lot and I mean a staggering number of bows over the last 20 years or so and I’ve only been smitten like this about a bow probably less than half a dozen times. The more i shoot this one the more I like it.

Love the figure on that right side above the shelf. Looks like the partial profile view of eagle feathers hanging from a Native American headdress. Pretty cool birthmark!

after shooting it all of today and testing it in the chrono my suspicions are confirmed. This is one of my top 4 performers. This bow flat out gets it.

Remember Dave Johnson built a Red Cedar longbow that everyone loved.
You notice any difference in the feel of Red Cedar, Bamboo, and Yew when shooting them?

@Tradlongbow (Fl) the red cedar is definitely the snappier limb core. I have owned numerous bows by craig with everything from Osage to honey locust and this red cedar bow seems to be the highest performing. That’s to the naked eye but I will know more when I put the bow through the chronograph. It also pulls smooth as well. I’ve owned a few Dave johnsons over the years and that’s what kind of turned me on the the red cedar. Dave did a nice job but craigs bow is bit more refined with a higher attention to detail. The only downside to the cedar is that it is soft and if you bump the side of the limb on your tree stand or something else hard there is a good chance you’re going to dent the side of the limb. But other than that, I’m tickled with it. I’ll give ya a call tomorrow. I was picking up our dog from my mom and dads when ya called!
