This hunting story by Hugh Rich always bring back memories talking to him. I swear I can remember he told the day of this hunt they hiked 19 miles in one one direction, but my memory could be fooling me. Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I.

Michael. I think I have a copy of that Stalker spine tester article. Think I got it from popular Mechanics. Regardless, I did build a spine tester based on that article and it works quite good.

If they did close to 19miles and a few thousand vertical feet by 7am, they had wheels or wings for legs!

Back in that day, there was a fellow by the name of Tracy Stalker and he was a wizard at putting out how to articles in Archery Magazines. He was very good. Any way one article was how to build your own spine tester and it is a nice spine tester. When my new hand held scanner comes in, I will find the article and scan it and publish it.

That was a fun read. My favorite part was the hero photo with a cigarette. Times have sure changed.

Sure is fun reading the ads. I'd like to see the plans for the Speed King Fletcher.
I do have some ordinary hand tools 😎 A few other interesting ones also.

Great article Michael. That's some crew to wander the mountains with.
