Yes I did well this year. I stopped counting at around 25 fish. Lot of fun!

I had a friend with a boat rigged up for bowfishing. We spent many days tweeking it out and many nights wearing the carp out. There is a power plant cooling lake here that doesn't get cold in the winter and it has telapia in it. When they were spawning I was having the most fun and eating well.
But life goes on. After many seasons he and his family moved away. I haven't bowfished since. Looking back on it, I think I had more fun working on the boat and the gear and drinking beer than shooting the carp.
Together with what seems a waning enthusiasm for killing that comes with age, I think bowfishing appeals most to young enthusiastic folk with good backs.

Chuck, I'm not a serious bowfisherman but I go quite a bit. In Oklahoma it's so hot this time of year, I like to paddle my boat around at night when it's cooler and shoot a fish or two. Picture from night before last.
