My longtime friend passed away a few days ago. I wrote about him back in 2019. He was a good friend and real competitor. Any day of the week he could be found at the range shooting 50, 60, and 70 yards with either his longbow or recurve. He would stop at the range on the way to Home Depot just to shoot a few arrows.
Bob holds NFAA National Championships dating back to 1964, IFAA North American record holder, and Florida State Archery Hall of Fame Inductee. Bob was 84 and is still shooting sharp in 2019.

Condolences to his family and also to you Darren. Good friends are hard to come by
It is always especially sad to hear of the passing of one of our archery family.
My condolences, Darren, and to Mr. Wartenburg's other friends and family. I didn't have the privilege of meeting or knowing him but if counted him as a friend, the world lost another good man.
Even at 84 years, life is short. Positive energy and gratitude help clear a path to good things. Please take a moment to thing of three things for which you're grateful and then go out today and live. Live with all the joy, wonder and enthusiasm you can muster! Have enough positive energy that you infect another human with some today.
Peace and friendship to you all!

Some people just know how to make a bow look good. Salute!
Very sad news Darren. A role model for every archer.
