So we took my wife's sisted and her daugher out to the range on Christmas day and they fell in love with the sport. They used a couple of low poundage bows that I had on the rack, but are looking to have their own. Being very new to the game, they are not ready to make a lot of investment into their gear. The current conversation is to either buy 30# limbs for the 62" Samick Sage I have on the rack (to replace the 45# ones it currrently has) or to get Black Hunter 60", 30# one off Amazon instead. The Samick is a heavy mass weight bow which is both good and bad for a new shooter. Don't have any idea what a Black Hunter feels like. Has anyone ever shot one of the Black Hunter recurves?

When I got back in the archery game, after finishing years ago with a compound bow, I bought a Sage35# bow, then a Black Hunter. Both are good shooters, but I would say the BH is lighter and a little more zippy, like a sports car vs sedan, the Sage I keep for a guest or introducing someone to archery…I have since moved on to custom Traditional bows, but shot BH last night and really enjoyed it….
mine is a l/b and yes they are interchangeable
I have a black hunter and like it a lot. got it on e-bay new for cheap...
Don't opwn one, but have shot a Black Hunter. Very nice bow for the money. Physically lighter than the Samick, but substantial enough.
