With my arrows that have threaded inserts for broadheads, it seems the one's that rotate left also loosen the broadhead upon impact. The shaft is turning left so the insert is turning to open the threads of the broadhead or loosen it. One obvious remedy is to use glue-on inserts. However, I don't want to change my whole set-up at this time. Cranking them down might work, but I have always turned them as tight as I could by hand - no wrenching on them. I guess some lock-tite type substance to hold the threads tight could work, but I want to be able to get the broadhead off eventually. Lastly, I could just use arrows that rotate to the right - making the broadhead tighter as it impacts. Interestingly, my feathers are straight as best as I can tell, but I have 6 arrows that distinctly rotate left and 10 that rotate right. They do have different colored feathers and two different people put them together so there is obviously a subtle off-set that I don't detect visually. Is there a remedy for the left-rotating shafts to keep the broadhead tight? Am I over-thinking this? Thanks

If you want a semi-permanent solution, Loctite - blue will hold. Red is more permanent. But both can be removed with heat, and pliers
wax or tape like the other have said works great. I heat the threads up get the wax all over it then screw it in while its melted. takes quite a bit to break it loose. the tape works well too, Im always changing stuff and tinkering so i like the wax better, the tape shreds after taking in and out. but for broad heads on your hunting arrows it should work great
Yep. Plumbers tape or string wax will work. A rubber O ring between the base of the head and the shaft will also keep them from loosening.
Even feathers that are mounted straight have some curvature to the barbules that will spin the arrow, though not as much as an offset or helical setting. Six of your arrows have left wing feathers, and 10 have right wing feathers. If you check them, the catch lip of the quill will be on the right side of the quill for a left wing feather and on the left side of the quill for a right wing feather when viewed from the back of the arrow looking forward.
plumbers tape worked great! Thanks
Tom, I like the plumbers tape idea! Good thinking 🤔
I use plumbers tape. Not expensive and easy to find at home stores. Used to use string wax as well but tape lasts longer. I am talking about field tips being used on a daily basis.
It’s been awhile but I remember using a little fletch-tite on screw in field points to keep them from coming out. I was able to unscrew them by heating up the field point.
