Around 1980, I met Ron Hoiland. Ron was a traditional archer to the core. He was also a very good machinist. We became fast friends and went on many larks together. I convinced him to make a high quality Hill-style broadhead for my company. I sold a lot of them. Ron, later, moved out-of-state and that ended our enterprize.
Here is a photo of Ron at the Great Lakes Longbow shoot some time around 1987.

First time I have seen these. The design looks well thought out. Even the tip is ready to go. Wonder why these didn’t catch on?
