Perusing the files I came across this article from the 1976 Pioneer Press of Fort James, CA.

What was the year of the article? I didn't see a date.
We had lots of "shows" put on by traveling presenters of this and that when I was in grade school. One I remember was a whistler who could whistle any tune. He did the theme for the Andy Griffith show. But I don't think we ever had an archery show. That would have been the best!
Thanks for posting this article!

Thanks for sharing Ira and Larry; I'm sure there were more people like Duke out there, as there are today. Deno, hope all is well.

This might age me a bit, but i do remember him. He never did things like shoot balloons behind his back at ten feet, but word got around that he was a good shot. Frank Eicholtz told me in a letter, that he could shoot his recurves about as good as Hill did, of course it was a few years later and Frank's bows were made a bit more fancy in the late 50s and early 60s than the one that Hill shot.

Thanks Ira
Another pioneer archer with good ideas spreading the word. I'm sure he planted the seed in many youngsters.
