I was able to make trade for my old schulz sage a few weeks back. I originally tracked this sage and a granpa down maybe 3 or 4 years ago from the original owners son down in Georgia. I then sold this sage to a fella from colorado and then this bow and a few others popped up for sale in a pawn shop in Colorado Springs last spring. A buddy of mine lives close to that pawn shop and bought this sage and a couple other bows the shop had for sale. My buddy is a lefty who then sold it to another one of my bow buddies in montana and him and i ended up making a trade. Instead of shipping the bow to Indiana to me he went ahead and shipped it to craig ekin at Howard hill archery who agreed to give the bow a makeover. The bow was in good shape but had the infamous horizontal lines in the finish on the back of the limbs. I ended up taking delivery of the bow today and craig put an awesome finish on it and was able to preserve all the original writing and leather. Craig really does a phenomenal job. Anyways here are a few pics. I’ll go outside on my off DAY next week and snap a few good pics in the sunlight. Thanks to Howard Hill archery for their stellar work!

Nice bow Justin.
Craig is one of the finest gentleman I’ve known. I’m glad to see you reunited with the Old Sage.
Nice looking piece of history you got there!
That is a really god looking bow!
Great find, I really like my Sage. Ted Fry was able to repair one I bought, only to find it had a crack in the handle and needed to be retillered to save it certain failure. It is 49#, but will be nice when refinished. A jerk sold it without disclosing the problems. It was heavy enough when he started that it didn't end up too light. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I wish I knew the journey of a few bows I’ve had at one time or another.
