I think the summer heat has us all sitting in the shade, nappin'. So here's a stretch toward some Big Five (gotta find a way to make it about hunting, right) humor I picked up a couple years ago from my oldest grandson:
What do you get when you mix a rhinoceros with an elephant? El-if-I-know!
Wake up and post something! Surely somebody made the world a better place and killed a coyote today!
Safe and healthy wishes!

True enough, Ira. But as a satirical retort, when has our invasion on the home of others ever mattered?
Across the street from my home is a trail, running parallel to a housing tract, that leads to a wilderness area known as Whiting Ranch. I have heard coyotes howling at night on numerous occasions. One morning, while I was still working, I was leaving for work and saw a juvenile coyote standing on a small rise at the entrance to the complex. Haven't heard of any other instances of them coming into the area. That one was either lost or curious.
When I used to mountain bike in Whiting Ranch I crossed paths with coyotes quite a few times. Even had staring contests with mountain lions twice. I would pick up my bike and raise it over my head to make myself look bigger and they would walk away.
We have to remember, often we have invaded their home, not the other way around.
I wish we had mountain lions that had a distinct taste preference for coyotes! LOL.
Mountain lions?? Oh we have them passing through occasionally. This year though it's a raccoon invasion.
Coyotes are pretty brazen here in our old folks neighborhood. Looking out the window one afternoon and 7 of them were walking down the middle of the street. Small dogs have been taken from the owners while being walked. Last week there was a Bobcat sighting about a mile from here. last year it was some Javalina running around. What next? Mountain Lions?
😁
"Wake up and post something! Surely somebody made the world a better place and killed a coyote today!"
What!!!
Lol! Well done, Bill!
Rick,
What is the name of the girl that cannot forget you?
