one of the co-authors, Forest Nagler wrote another book which is half technical and half adventure. It's also a gem here's a link to one from abe books: https://www.abebooks.com/book-search/author/nagler-forrest/

Wow! Nice score. I would trade all my old texts for a copy of ATS. Even with the dated information, that is a great reference. I have never seen one for sale

Archery The Technical side, a great book. There was only one printing, the original owner is listed in the back.
Just keep in mind some of the information has been proven incorrect. Most of the articles were written in the 30-40's, and testing was quite primitive compared to now.
Enjoy Ben

Nothing beats good books! Even the smell of an old book adds to the experience of reading it and being transported into the story. Have fun!
Thanks for the heads up Steve. I think I will keep looking for a first edition.
$200 for a used reprint, smacks of profiteering
They do come up for sale surprisingly often. I got my copy off amazon from an old books dealer. They usually are not cheap. There are several re-prints for sale on amazon now. https://www.amazon.com/Archery-Technical-Side-Legends-Longbow/dp/1564160912/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1M8L29TJHUQRJ&keywords=archery+the+technical+side+book&qid=1657358546&sprefix=archery+the+technical+side+book%2Caps%2C188&sr=8-1
If you are patient an original might pop up...
Well worth the effort.
