With the recent passing of a legend and our "Longbow Saint" John Schulz, and seeing a post where one of our brothers posted a "Swinehart Commemorative" model bow (I never heard of). Would it be great to have a bowyer, have a model to honor Mr. Schulz & Mr. Swinehart?
Considering John Schulz’s relationship with Howard Hill, it’s a shame the “Wesley Special” isn’t known as the “Schulz Special”
Personally speaking, if a Schulz tribute bow were to be made, I’d love to see it made by Tom Schulz...using his Father’s core chart
The best person to make a tribute bow to John Schulz would be Nate Steen. John not too long before his passing, gave Nates bows his approval.
I agree, one of the Son's or Mr. Steen be perfect. I think some parameters be set for Swinehart or
Dave Miller was a Schultz apprentice. The old Tom is built from a Schultz bow and he makes split bamboo. Split bamboo would be a great tribute bow. Dave is one of the very very few that taught by Schultz and still makes them.
I have an Old Tom from Dave Miller, it's great bow
I have a Sage on order, I might change it a split bamboo. Dave Miller is the only one I know of taught by John Schultz that still builds them.
I have a Dave Schulz split bamboo great bow. I think Dave would be the one .keep it in the family
