Nice Mahaska longbow built by Kent Ostrem in 2016. I had Ken build this bow for me to my specs but with advancing age and tender shoulders, am shooting lighter bows. This one draws 48#@ 26 1/2” so if you have a longer draw of more than 28” it would not be for you. Shoots with a very quiet thump and is a joy to shoot. I’m sure I haven’t loosed 150 arrows with it. I don’t have a build sheet but the clear glass limbs with a satin finish are of elm and a maple core. If I remember correctly, the riser is bocote. Nice subtle hues. When Kent called me to tell me it was ready he warned me about setting it down in the woods-you won’t be able to find it, he chuckled. Quite narrow limbs, 1 1/4” at the fades and 1/2” at the nocks. The handle has a medium dish, 1 1/8” wide x 2” deep. Kent’s I.D. and the name I gave the bow are tastefully and subtly marked as you see in the photos. (“Amerikanische Bogenschutze” is simply American Archer in German)
I’ll ship the bow in a pvc tube CONUS for $250. If you don’t like it when it arrives, just send it back and I’ll refund what you paid. Nobody wants a bow that doesn’t fit or feel right. RH bow.
