Here’s 2 pictures of John Schulz shooting about 21 years apart. The top picture my wife took in 2013 at the TAS Bowhunter World Championship and the bottom picture John’s son Dave took at the Great Lakes Longbow Invitational around 1994. In 2013, at age 81, John still had the same solid form and release.
I just ordered a couple of strings for a new to me bow. I based the loop measurements off the flemish twist string it came with, but the new endless loop string is much stiffer and the loops are a really tight fit. Once I got the string on it seemed to shoot fine, but it got me wondering if there is any concern about the tight fit. Is there a recommended gap/spacing for string loops?
